I’m a little bit obsessed with Chantecaille ever since my Wolf Palette followed by my Lion Palette. I love the way their eye shadow glides on. I love its silky texture and its staying power but imagine how excited I was to discover all of those qualities also occurred in their silk infused eye liner. I am more than a little bit obsessed with eye pencils. Rarely leave the house without one but I reject the gliding felt tip type pens because they take care and patience and time, which I don’t have even though I like the glossiness that they provide.
I’ve been through every brand of pencil, some too smudgy, some too flaky, some too lacking in vibrance and staying power The Chantecaille pencil is perfect. The colour opulent, the texture ground-breaking. It’s ultra-gliding with the appearance of a liquid in a sharpened pencil form. You can have it slim line, you can have it dark and deep, you can have it smudgy but it’s always rich. A single, effortless swipe and the formula melts into the lash line. It’s rather beautiful. Kind on the eyes because it’s sulphate free and paraben free, vegan and cruelty free. And importantly it lasts for hours.
Eyeliner is the one thing that I’m not good at applying in the back of a taxi and now I don’t have to. I love Black Forest which is a pine green black and Raven which is basically black but with a hint of dark brown ravens feather. It’s one of those really subtle blacks that’s glossy and deep and somehow you feel the silk infused into your eyes.
