Ok, so we’ve shared our beauty gift suggestions with you so we thought it might be time to give you some suggestions for hair. Christmas is a great excuse to ask for that new pair of hair tongues or those hair straighteners you’ve been trying to save up for all year, but just not quite managed because well, makeup… right?
We’ve chosen a mixture of hair products and gadgets that we think you will love.
Lee Stafford
If you want tight, kinky corkscrew curls – Lee Stafford is your man. The Original Chopstick Styler Curling Wand has a super skinny barrel so it perfect to get the groovy curls you’re after. It’s a little bit Beyonce if you ask us so this is the perfect pressie for a diva.
Tresemme Hairdryer
I’ve already treated myself to this new hair dryer because after having my Mark Hill one for about 6 years, it overheated for the last time. The handle became so hot that I actually ended up dropping it mid drying my hair. I still don’t know how it didn’t explode but hey ho. Anyway, I decided to go for TRESemme, not because I didn’t like my Mark Hill one, in fact it was one of my favorites and longest lasting. My sister has a TRESemme hairdryer and after I’d broken mine, I started using hers for a bit and noticed how light it was in comparison, I really liked using it.
This TRESemme hairdryer set is actually currently on offer at John Lewis and it comes with a bottle of Keratin Smooth heat spray and a large thermal brush to help you create a salon finish.
Babyliss curlers
We got our hands on the Babyliss Diamon Waves curlers a few months back and had to try it straight away. Hannah used it on my hair and we were both so happy with the results – watch full video here.
It’s super easy to use, you just have to follow the grooves and place your hair around them. I have quite long hair so we had to wrap the ends around a couple of times but it still worked just fine. I kept in the curls all day and in the evening I brushed it through with a little bit of hair spray which created gorgeous waves and that was my version of going from day to night.
Aveda Smooth Hair-care
Aveda is always our go to for both skin and hair. Their products are super gentle on your skin and they really do work. I have previously used the styling creme from the Smooth Infusion range. I used it as directed on damp hair – applying a small amount of product onto the ends of my hair, slowly working it upwards towards mid length, then just blow dried it. The creme was great and kept my hair from frizzing on the ends which is what usually happens when I don’t use a thermal brush. You can also have a look at Aveda’s handpicked service where you can create personalised gifts.
Moroccanoil gift set
Ok, I’ll admit I’ve included this particular gift set from Moroccanoil because of it’s beautiful packaging, which in a way reminds me of a large Tiffany box – a girl can dream, right? 😉
Aside from the packaging however, we have tried the Maroccanoil root boost before and only have nice things to say about it. It is quite nourishing compared to your typical dry shampoo, which I find actually makes my hair more greasy, I’m convinced that as soon as I spray it my hair automatically just says: ‘NO! I’m having none of that’ and tries to protect itself. But, Moroccanoils root boots doesn’t actually have that effect and just leaves roots more nourished and refreshed – keeps our hair happy.
Shea Moisture
I have been using the Shea Moisture styling creme for a while now but sadly, I’m almost down to my last few drops of it. I love it’s mild fruitiness, it leaves my hair smelling fantastic. It helps with frizz which is perfect for me because I have a LOT of hair. This particular product is also sulfate free and colour safe. We love this range as a Christmas gift. You can also find a shampoo (£10.99) and conditioner (£10.99) to form a set, and you can pick these up from Boots so this is perfect for anyone who’s doing some last minute Christmas shopping.
