The new Ghostbusters movie couldn’t come soon enough.
The cast has been rebooted for an all-female one; with a line up of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. Oh, and Chris Hemsworth plays their receptionist too.
“He was shirtless the entire time” McCarthy joked; whilst talking to E! Online about Hemsworth. “It’s just what Chris does. He likes to go topless all the time.” Even Ghostbuster director Paul Feig confirmed that we will “be seeing some man flesh” in the movie…
McCarthy goes on to compliment Hemsworth’s improvisation within a comedy role, and that he’s “super funny” and were so impressed at the star that maybe that he should in fact take on some more comedy roles over the action-packed characters in his career.
The filming for the movie has been underway in the past few months; and Ghostbusters is about Erin Gilbert (Wiig) and Abby Yates (McCarthy); a pair of unsung authors who write a book about the existence of ghosts. A few years later, Gilbert lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia University, but her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Gilbert reunites with Yates and others when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.
Ghostbusters is due to be released in July 2016 – but keep your eyes peeled for more updates.
