COOL DOWN WITH COCKTAILS

Despite the constant rainy weather it’s important to remember that the summer months have arrived. Instead of laying down on the beach soaking up the sun that doesn’t really exist… try to bring the refreshing flavours of summer to your home with these cool summer cocktails:

Peach Mimosas

Start off your morning the right way and escape the classic mimosa, by switching it up a little with this easy drink. You can even add strawberries or mixed berries for an extra flavour.

1cup Thawed Frozen Peaches

1 bottle of Champagne (your choice)

1 tsp of lemon juice

1/2 cup raspberries (optional)

“The Firecracker”

This cocktails contains summer’s most refreshing flavours including watermelon, lime and cucumbers.

4 oz Cucumber Vodka

4 (1-inch) cubes of seedless watermelon

2 limes, diced2 oz simple syrup- Boil 1/4 cup water and sugar just until sugar dissolves.

Add 1/4 cup ice to cool – refrigerate leftovers

Smashed Raspberry Lemonade

Lemonade is easily one of the most refreshing drinks to quench your thirst during the summertime. So adding vodka and fresh fruit can just make it a whole lot better…

2 oz Triple Sec

2 oz Limoncello

1 handful of raspberries

juice from two lemons

club soda

raw sugar

The “Bul” 

For all you beer lovers out there, get ready to turn your favourite beer into a cocktail…

1 (12 oz) bottle of ginger beer

1 (12 oz) bottle of pale ale

4 oz fresh lime juice

Iced Tea Sangria

Basically our two favourite drinks… combined! This one can be varied to your taste with any herbal tea of your choice.

4 cups fresh brewed iced tea

2 cups red or white wine

honey or simple syrup (to taste)

2 cups chopped fresh fruit (strawberries, nectarines and mangoes)
