As a teen it seems I missed a trick. Whilst I was busily stomping away in my Spice Girl-inspired Buffalo boots and anything with a clompy heel from Shelly’s shoes it appears that the rest of the teen-world were more-comfortably buying into streetwear sneakers. From the multi-hued Nike Air Max to simple, streamlined Converse.
It was only when embarking on a new clean and lean lifestyle a year ago that I discovered the pure joy that are Nike trainers.
Not only did my sparklingly new, bright hued trainers help get me out of bed and to the gym each morning, they also took me through a gruelling workout and back to the office in unparalleled comfort and style. A (late-to-the-party) revelation.

So, for me, this Summer’s trend for trainers, and more specifically, this year’s Nike x Liberty London collaboration couldn’t be more timely.
Unlike past collections, the May launch Nike x Liberty collection allows customers to customise classic Air Max 1, Blazer Mid and Roshe Run styles with their choice of Liberty print as part of the (hard-to-resist) Nike ID range.
To celebrate the launch, three of the custom-created Capel and Pepper printed styles, £110 from the collection are available to buy in store and online at Liberty, now.
