We’re suckers for a cute pooch. But show us a pug rocking designer fashion and that tends to signal the end of work for the day! Thanks to luxury, online shopping site Luisa Via Roma, who have joined forces with UNICEF in a campaign quite simply, and rather aptly, named ‘Pug Dogs for Happy Kids’, 21 of these fahionable furry friends are up for auction on Ebay as of today.
The pugs, created by toy brand Steiff and designed by a whole host of big fashion names – from Balmain to Valentino, Viktor & Rolf to Blumarine – will be auctioned off weekly at a €1 starting bid. This week the Mary Katrantrzou, Balmain and Valentino designed pugs are up for grabs.
All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the UNICEF Project ARISE (Appropriate Resources for Improving Street Children’s Environment). A project which helps to reintegrate street children from Bangladesh into society, educating them and finding them homes.
