If you’ve ever wondered what to buy the woman who has everything take a leaf out of David Beckham’s book. According to WWD the footballer put in an order to Harrods earlier this week for two pairs of Olivia von Halle silk pyjamas, we’re assuming for Victoria.
The Geordie designer, inspired by the lounge pyjamas worn by Coco Chanel in the 1920s, saw a gap in the market for bedwear that was a little more luxurious and directional than the standard sweats or, god-forbid, the onesie. And so the in 2011 the Olivia von Halle pyjama range was launched at London Fashion Week.
Now stocked in both Harrods and Fenwicks, the loungewear incorporates elegantly cut silk in stunning prints. As the go-to brand for high-end nightwear, DB clearly has his finger on the pulse of fashion and luxury, or maybe Victoria is just very good at dropping hints!
Either way, the news has us coveting luxury loungewear to wear as we (over) indulge this festive season. . .
