When it comes to beauty campaigns, it’s like a battle of the L.A blondes as, earlier this year news broke of Diane Kruger and Kate Bosworth’s appointments as the faces of Chanel and SK-II, respectively.
For Kate, the Japanese skincare-focussed brand, renowned for its super luxe formulations and Eastern inspired rituals is a seamless match for her flawless, poreless skin. Whilst for Diane, who has been tapped as the face of Chanel’s Resynchronizing Collection (Le Jour de Chanel, Le Nuit de Chanel and Le Weekend de Chanel) thanks to her history with the prestige brand – she fronted the Allure fragrance campaign back in ’96 – she slips easily into the realm of fresh-faced elegance that the brand demands.
The first look campaign shot of Diane Kruger for Chanel, as shot by Peter Lindbergh, sees the actress wrapped up in a (we’re imagining it to be nothing short of Chanel cashmere) rug whilst looking beautifully beach-swept, with subtly tanned skin, nude tonal make up and mussed windswept hair.
