I’d like to begin this by saying that this review is inspired by one darned beautiful visit to a little location I knew very well but hadn’t ventured into before. The visit did not come about via a press invitation, or the lure of a discounted meal. I happened upon it quite by accident, and was instantly charmed.
I’m a West London girl and live very near the Fulham Wine Rooms. I had walked past it far too many times to count, smiling at diners sitting outside during the summer months, and gazing enviously in at those sitting down to dinner amongst the shining bottles that surrounded them as the evenings got that bit colder.

When I finally got to sample the place for myself I had the excitement of one embarking on a trip they’ve been looking forward to since forever. It is a wine bar, restaurant and wine shop that opened a couple of years ago, charming locals and London visitors alike. Whether you’re there to sample glasses of various wines along with Spanish style tapas bar plates, shopping for that unique bottle that will earn you nods of approval at a forthcoming occasion, or in the market for a delectable three course meal, this is the place you must pop in to.
I was lucky enough to be opting for the latter option. A fresh calamari starter was followed by the most gorgeous seared tuna steak and tomato and rocket salad, I could have stopped there. Were it not for the chocolate fondant that was staring at me from the menu. When something says it will take an extra 15 minutes to prepare, it means it’s being done just for you, and you can’t say no to that. It arrived accompanied by salted caramel ice cream. Is your mouth watering yet? Mine is. I might have to book in another visit. Needless to say the wine was divine.
