The Lion King is one of my favourite animated films of all time. I haven’t had the pleasure of ever seeing the musical, so now that Disney has announced they’re releasing a live-action re-make, it’ll be looking forward to seeing how they bring the characters to life.
Disney has revealed the cast and we have to tell you, it’s insane!
Beyonce will be playing the role of Nala, while Childish Gambino (Donald Glover) will be stepping into the role of Simba. Acadamy award winner, Chiwetel Ejiofor will be portraying Scar and dipping into a darker and more twisted mindset.
Even Seth Rogan has landed a role as Pumba and we can see exactly why. We love his comedy and can see him inject some light-hearted humour into the darker moments of The Lion King.
The Lion King live-action film will not be out until July 19, 2019.
