Autumn means one thing: pumpkin everything. Even if you’re not rushing off to grab your pumpkin spice latte, why not include the seasonal favorite in your skincare? Pumpkin is high in Vitamins A, C, and E which have anti-aging properties and zinc, beta-carotene, potassium and antioxidants which fight redness.
Try this easy 3-step pumpkin mask this fall!
MAKE BASE
Whisk together about 150g of pumpkin and one egg (the egg binds the mask together). It’s best to puree your own pumpkin, the canned purees are less pure (blend a small slice in a food processor). If you go with puree, make sure it’s organic.
CUSTOMIZE
If you have dry skin, add a bit of honey, which not only acts as a humectant, and provides antiseptic properties. For oily skin, mix in a splash of apple cider or cranberry juice for an astringent effect.
ENJOY
Apply the mixture on your face (avoiding eye area), and let sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water to reveal a more refreshed complexion.
