Global Lust by Chrissy Iley
I was first introduced to the glam liner in Sicily. Sicily is a place of powerful memories for Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce. Its baroque churches, its amazing floral smells, and sparkling blue of the sea has inspired their baroque designs and the amazing colours in their make-up range.
Whether it’s a lip colour or an eye colour they always manage to get the tone perfect. Their nail colours are always the best.
The gold glam eyeliner comes in a tiny but dramatic package. Amazing that something so small can be so effective. The reason I’m going for gold is as one of their make-up artists told me, you don’t have to be good at putting on eyeliner to wear it. And you don’t !
No steady hand or technique required. It simply provides a dazzling golden sparkle which opens up the eye. Great for a Christmas party.
It’s not tacky. It’s a delicate fairy dust gold. And it’s not solid. It’s just made up of tiny sparkles which go over any eye colour and gilt them up. Most people have specks of gold in their eye anyway, so this serves to bring that out and liven up the eye sparkle. Glam liner does come in other shades, but for me gold is a special one.
It’s the same kind of glittery texture in the silver and bronze. They also do classic black and a religious looking purple.
The purple requires a steadier hand, but if you do purple with the gold overlay, any mistakes are disguised in glitter dust.
The gold is subtle enough to wear in the day which I have done.
