You can’t beat Dolce & Gabbana’s packaging and their eye for colour. I love the way the lipsticks click shut like they would if they were being used by a Bond girl theatrically or a 1950s model.
The colours manage to be just a little edgy, just a little vibrant, just a little perfect.

The spring Dolce & Gabbana Smooth Eye Shadow Quad in Cocoa (£39.50) with aubergine, coral, light gold and coco brown, manages to be subtle as well as impactful.
They do something magic with their corally pink lipsticks which make them wearable for all skin tones. Dolce & Gabbana Classic Cream Lipstick in Bellissima (£24.00) is a bright coral which is engaging and extremely wearable.

They have also come up with an eyebrow pencil which is beyond fabulous. The brow pencil is a double-ended delight. One end is a brush for you to shape brows, the other end is a revolving pencil but it comes out slanted, eyebrow shaped, so that you can be quick, efficient and not make mistakes.
It goes on very fluently. It’s not greasy or waxy and has the Dolce & Gabbana signature style of being subtle yet dramatic.
They have also put their latest twist on their Light Blue fragrance. It is called Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Escape To Panarea (£66.00).

I was never much of a fan of Light Blue, it being too citrusy and a little bit cloying. I tend to favour their patchouli based scents that have Stefano Gabbana at the helm. He seems to douse himself in a bottle of his own patchouli every time he leaves the house and it smells great on him.
Panarea is inspired by the island itself (near Sicily). The male version of the scent is called Discover Vulcano and is even better. They are both still citrus based but with notes of amber and musk.
There are jasmine and orange blossom in there too. They are the smells of the island. But patchouli and tonka beans make the scent warmer and sexier.
