Following the BBC Drama series’ huge success with an audience of 10.1m viewers, Doctor Foster is making a comeback for Series 2 – and we are ecstatic.
The five-part series is the story of Doctor Gemma Foster (Suranne Jones) suspecting that her husband has been having an affair, and setting out to unravel the harsh truth.
As avid Doctor Foster fans here at the office we didn’t miss an episode – and week upon week we would have our morning-after-the-night-before discussions – oh, it never failed to entertain.
Mike Bartlett, writer and creator of Doctor Foster, couldn’t ignore the huge success of the show: “I’ve been astounded by the response to Doctor Foster. So I’m thrilled that alongside Drama Republic and the phenomenal Suranne Jones, we’re now going to tell the next chapter in Gemma’s story. Her life in Parminster may look better on the surface, but as she will discover to her cost, every action has its consequences eventually. No one comes through hell unscathed.“
The second series of Doctor Foster will continue Gemma and Simon’s story, with many more surprises, twists and turns to come.. The drama will delve into what happens to a women after a divorce, when deceit and revenge have taken their toll…
