The makers of Dunkirk are inviting us all to step into wartime Britain with music, dancing and food on the sandy beaches of Camber Sands.
The special event will be taking place on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st September and will feature screenings of the film.

Guests will be welcome from 5.30pm, where they’ll be treated to a performance by Viv The Spiv, Swing Shift DJ playing 30’s and 40’s tunes, and you can learn some novelty dance moves from Mark & Hoc Ewing, such as “The Lambeth Walk” and “The Chestnut Tree”.
On Wednesday 20th, ahead of the main screening, Oscar-winning actress Hayley Mills will introduce a short compilation of footage that her father John Mills, star of Dunkirk, shot on location at Camber Sands and Rye during the 1957 production. This will be followed by, Just Before the War, a short specially created for this event that comprises two films that will connect viewers with the seaside area and the lives of its inhabitants in 1939.
And if you thought that wasn’t enough, you can see re-enactors in vintage costumes, cars from the period and delicious food and drink.
You can book your tickets here.
