This weekend, The Music Circle presents Rumble in the Jumble, a sale of pre-loved fashion pieces donated by a whole host of celebrities. From Fearne Cotton, who is rumoured to have offered up a Mulberry dress and The Kills’ front woman Alison Mosshart who had handed over DKNY shoes to the likes of Daisy Lowe, Jessie Ware, Lauren Laverne, Anna Calvi, Claudia Winkelman, Zara Martin and more. There’s even something for the men, that’s if they’re into the type of suits worn by Jimmy Carr. . .
Otherwise, grab your girlfriends and hotfoot it down to the Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club. Even if your January funds don’t stretch to new (or should we say, old) buys, there’s plenty more on offer.
There is a retro hair salon and nail bar pop up courtesy of Lipstick & Curls, a food stall manned by Gizzi Erskine, a mulled wine and hot cider bar, plus tea and cakes, DJ sets and ping pong tables.
The sale itself in in aid of abused women in the Democratic Republic of Congo and is in association with Oxfam’s Get Together for International Women’s Day on 8th March.
Rumble in the Jumble, Saturday 26th February at Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club. Cash only.
