It seems that in order to be linked, romantically, to Taylor Swift you need only accompany her in a duet and join her on stage, as Ed Sheeran discovered last night at the Capital FM Summertime Ball. (Although the fact that Sheeran was spotted leaving Taylor’s hotel at 4 am, wearing the same clothes as when he went in did little to dispel rumours)
‘I did go to her hotel, I did stay there ’til four and I did leave in the same clothes. But I was playing her my new record. It was strictly that kind of thing. Literally, I went in there and we passed the guitar back and forth and played songs to each other.’ Sheeran told a New Zealand broadcaster.
The singer-songwriter, renowned for his romantic and loved-up lyrics, performed Everything Has Changed with the leggy Swift, at last night’s event at Wembley Stadium, earning himself a hug and a kiss pre-performance.
