It has always been in the 22 year old’s sights to have more thane one string to her bow. Edie credits her mother, Sophie Hicks, former Vogue fashion editor, for encouraging her to explore other interests and talents. She is said to have told her daughter that it was essential to have something more important in her life, ‘because the fashion world is not going to want you forever’.
Well whilst Edie’s degree, equestrian and philanthropic pursuits are sure to stand her in good stead for the future, for now the fashion world is clamouring for the young beauty. Her latest venture sees her channelling a fresh Parisian look in Sandro’s newest campaign for its Fall 2013 collection. Her naturally pouting lips and sultry eyes give a stark feminine contrast to the androgynous silhouettes of the French fashion house’s latest pieces.
It is safe to say that Miss Campbell will be responsible for an influx of monochrome on the highstreet, as well as some daring crop requests at the hairdressers. We can’t wait to see what she does next.
