With the weather finally warming up and many European festivals right around the corner, it’s time to start carefully packing the essentials. From floral headbands to water proof wellies, anything goes when it comes to festival fashion.
Starting June 27th and continuing day and night until the 29th, Glastonbury Festival will not disappoint. Beloved celebrities including Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Alexa Chung are rumored to make an appearance, which leaves festival-goers gooey eyed at the mere mention of it. With a historic musical line up who can blame them? The Rolling Stones are finally making their Glasto debut alongside veteran headliners including Mumford & Sons and the Arctic Monkeys.
If you can’t make the highly anticipated festival this weekend – don’t fret – there are many more where that came from. Roskilde Festival, located in Denmark, offers a brilliant mix of indie, electric and rock music as well as lakes for swimming and fishing and a nine-day non-stop cinema from 29 June – 7 July.
The festival scene is getting hotter with the weather. July is jam-packed with outdoor festivals including Summer Series, Wireless, Latitude, Secret Garden Party, and Tomorrowland. The key to preparing lies in packing lightly yet practical. We suggest filling your oversized tote with bohemian inspired throw-on dresses, prints that won’t be dirtied easily, and re-wearable accessories. We’ll be taking inspiration from the SS13 catwalks. . .
Take your cue from the luxe nomadic traveller vibes at Tori Burch, complete with aztec prints, pom poms and dream-catcher jewellery, Diane Von Furstenberg’s glossy Greek-island hued short and tunic combos or ever-so-suited to the great British weather, Kinder Aggugini’s paisley print ponchos.
