Eve Lom Facial. Those very words reconjure the essence of relaxation, revitalisation and luxury. And also a very specific smell. Floral yet herbaceous. The smell is linked to all of their products. The smell is the very distinctive aroma of their very first ever cleanser, the one that you had to wipe off with the muslin cloth, the one that was a thick balm. Since then their range has grown but it is still small enough to be boutique, bespoke.

I was lucky enough to have an Eve Lom radiance facial this week in the most gorgeously smelling hotel room in London.
Before the facial, I tried the textures of all of the products. They all have the sense of cleverness and luxury about them and although some are light and airless and others are richer and creamier, they all absorb into the skin beautifully and have a hydration promise, some of them up to 48 hours. What’s clever beyond science about Eve Lom is a pioneering spirit and a sense that even in skincare there are trends. The trend now is radiance and why not? Who doesn’t want youthful, polished, glowy skin? And Eve Lom has the latest and most high powered and multi-tasking facial mist to deliver it.
This glorious mist which smells of a spring bouquet is packed with high powered ingredients. You spray it, your skin instantly revives and the mist promotes firm, smooth and super hydrated skin and environmental anti-pollution protection. The glow is instant. There are other wonderful glow products in the range such as the radiance face oil which smells and feels like being wrapped in a blossoming meadow. The actual facial was by Eve Lom’s own facialist Erica MacCallum and what a wonder woman she is. I know to say someone has healing hands is a cliché but these hands seemed to lift the very fabric of skin and melt away puffiness and wrinkles. They also transcend you onto another planet. Along with the radiance mist, Erica applied the radiance lift cream which is another super silky, super smelling, good enough to eat but much better on the face affair. And as my lips were dry the Eve Lom amazing Kiss Mix lip balm – it has a little menthol in it so you feel a tingle and a plumping just after application and it does deliver super hydration. I’m somewhat of a lip balm connoisseur and this is my new must-have.

The radiance face mist though will travel with me at all times. It’s a wondrous spritz against air conditioning and air travel. It has so many active ingredients including microalgae extract which not only provides antioxidants but helps the oxygenation of the skin as it firms and hydrates. There’s also magnesium, zinc and copper complex which is again oxygen-boosting which stimulates cell metabolism. There’s Wild Indigo extract to calm the skin from polluted air and 3D hydration booster which optimises water circulation and water reserve within all layers of the skin, thus the skin is hydrated for up to 48 hours after use, as proven by clinical tests in November 2017.
All this combines to bring a radiance to the skin and such an uplifting smell you feel renewed in a way that I can’t wait to try more of the Eve Lom products.
Radiance face oil £60, Radiance mist available in May, Kiss Mix £16.
