Borough Market Christmas Lights

On Wednesday 2nd December home cooks and food lovers Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley (known as Hemsley + Hemsley) will be at Borough Market for the grand turning on of the sparkling Christmas lights.
The build up to the special light switch will commence from 5.30pm onwards, with Southwark Cathedral’s St Nicholas Day Christingle Service; a traditional candle-lit carol service supported by Better Bankside and Borough Market to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.
The Hemsley sisters will be joining traders and customers as they gather around Borough Market’s 20ft Christmas tree, where they’ll hit the switch to light up a spectacular setting.
Borough market traders, Cartwright Brothers will be serving hot, mulled wine from 6pm whilst Konditor & Cook will provide mince pies, available to attendees on a first come, first served basis.
Borough Market will be open every day from Thursday 10th December up until Christmas Eve, including Sundays. Community groups and local choirs will provide carols and entertainment in the Market Hall throughout December.
