EASTER IN LONDON
March 27, 2016

Easter Weekend graces us every year with a lovely bank holiday that gives us 4 days of opportunities to celebrate. From egg hunts, to parties, to chocolate festivals, London definitely has you covered when it comes to Easter Weekend festivities.
Chocolate Market at Duke of York Square: It’s third year running, the Chocolate Market is the perfect place to get all the chocolate to fill your Easter basket. Held Saturday 26 March, Chelsea will be lined with chocolate vendors offering their best and brightest for the season such as salt caramel truffles and dark chocolate hot cocoa. Opening at noon and free of charge, we know where we’ll be 26th March!
Idris Elba at Egg London: Looking for a more lively way to ring in Easter weekend? British heartthrob Idris Elba is taking a break from the red carpet and back to his DJ-ing roots at Egg London (get it? Easter? Egg? So clever) on Thursday 24 March at 10 pm. Tickets range from £15-18 and there’s even a secret special guest to keep the anticipation climbing! Get your tickets here.
The Oxford v Cambridge Goat Race: What’s cuter than little goats running down a track for the ultimate champion title? Held at Spitalfields City Farm on Sunday 27 March, door open at 1pm to let visitors hang around with bands, booze, and goat-related shenanigans with the race starting some time around 2pm and 5pm, depending on the goats’ mood (we’re not kidding). Tickets go fast and are £12 for adults and free for children under 12, click here to get them!
Easter Country Fair: Want to stay outside in the fresh spring air? Head on over to River Lee Country Park on Sunday 27 and Monday 28 March starting at 10am for traditional entertainment and outdoor festivities such as arts and crafts, miniature pony displays, and jousting performances. Food and drink will be available throughout the fair, and areas such as the Medieval Village and The Goat Show offer festivities like knight fights and bottle-feeding lambs everyone in the family will enjoy. Tickets are £6.50 for adults, £5 for concessions, and £2.50 for children which you can buy there or online here.
