Last year, 2016, was pink but 2017 is green – or shall we say ‘greenery’ according to Pantone colour experts. So, naturally everything from beauty and fashion, to interiors has taken inspiration from the 2017 colour. Farrow and Ball, curators of luxury paint and interiors, have released their own take on a greenery 2017 with their latest paint collection.
Their Spring 2017 collection features their version of greenery – a dark shade green called ‘Studio Green’. This is a colour which gives depth to a room, they even say that it’s the perfect partner for your ever growing houseplant collection.
Farrow & Ball have not yet given up on the 2016 Pantone trend either. Their ‘Ridicchio’ colour is a romantic evolution with a bold and sensual feeling to it. They’ve created a fusion between pink and red, with a more bluey base to stop it feeling “sickly sweet”.
But if you still can’t bring yourself to step that far out of your comfort zone, don’t worry because they haven’t completely scrapped the neutrals just yet. The colours ‘Hay’ and ‘All White’ are not in any way in your face but they still have a bit of attitude than the barely there colours we normally go for. ‘Hay” is gentle, whimsical and mellow, while ‘All White’ evokes a sense of calmness and takes a bit of a backseat to allow the rest of your furnishings to do all the talking.
