What better way to celebrate the 2013 BAFTA nominations than with a suitably starry tea party held at The Four Seasons in Los Angeles.
Both Hollywood supers and rising stars alike were perfectly turned out.
There was a strong monochromatic trend running through the celebrations with young starlets Michelle Dockery, Freida Pinto and Olivia Munn rocking black and white pieces. Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery wore a simple two-toned shift dress, whilst New Girl’s Olivia Munn sported a black trouser and top combo with white go-faster stripes and matching box clutch. Freido Pinto meanwhile opted for a geometric printed dress and bright contrasting bag.
Adding a touch of golden glamour were Amanda Seyfriend and Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence both of whom combined cream and black dresses, Amanda’s with a draped front and Jennifer’s with a peplum and waist belt, with a hint of shimmer. Meanwhile Bond girl Bérénice Marlohe looked far from the pulled-together beauty that we’d become accustomed to on the Skyfall tour, wearing a particularly unflattering white flared catsuit. The French actress however, just about managed to hold our interest, thanks to an immaculately polished red pout.
Oh Sienna, how we’ve missed you and your quirky styling. Only Sienna and her laid-back hippy chic could pull off this shiny, coral, floral-embroidered creation with such aplomb. Three quarter length sleeves, A-line skirt and pointed nude courts. We know we shouldn’t love it and yet somehow we still do. Very much. Equally, we adore Marion Cotillard looking utterly delightful in this floral full length dress. And Thandie Newton, in a pale pastel blue number with sheer panelling stole the LA limelight.
