To celebrate a milestone of 90 years of Fendi fashion, it was only fitting that the creative director Karl Lagerfeld put on none other than a monumental, jaw-dropping show of the fashion house’s latest collection.
Called Legends and Fairytales, the extravagant showcase took place in Rome at the historic Trevi Fountain, giving a magical atmosphere. Models graced over water on a glass bridge in embellished gowns with fur flowers and elaborate cityscape designs, draping over colourful Victorian-style boots.
As the label’s second-ever “Haute Fourrure” show, each look was accented with the brand’s signature fur detailing, from small appliqués to complete shawls and dresses. Motifs included florals and fairytale-like art scenes.
Even the hair oozed Disney princesses, with gloriously romantic curls, and half up-do’s flowing behind the models’ shoulders.
