Once a hit Broadway musical to a major motion picture, Disney’s Into the Woods is already gathering a lot of excitement. Due out this January 2015, we can’t wait to see the film! Watch the trailer below.

Into the Woods is a modern take on twist on the classic Grimm fairy tales combining the stories of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel. Into the Woods has a rich cast of both Broadway and Hollywood talent paving the way for this musical movie to take on the big screen. At the front running are Johnny Depp and Meryl Streep playing the wolf and the witch, who have both proved their musical capabilities in Sweeney Todd and Mamma Mia. Pitch Perfect’s Anna Kendrick is set to play Cinderella alongside her Prince, Chris Pine. Broadway stars Mackenzie Mauzy and Billy Magnussen join the cast as Rapunzel and her Prince. Other cast members include James Corden and Emily Blunt, as the Baker and the Baker’s Wife, Daniel Huttlestone and Frances de la Tour as Jack and the Giant, and Lilla Crawford and Christine Baranski as Red Riding Hood and Cinderella’s Stepmother.
With Maleficent, Cinderella and Into the Woods already in post-production we cannot wait to see which of our favourite fairy tales is set to come to life next. The rumor mill has set the wheel turning of a possible Beauty and the Beast remake with Bill Condon at the helm as director. Get your glass slipper ready and let down your hair, because these Disney remakes will have you falling in love with your favourite childhood stories all over again.
