Singer Florence Welch has just been announced as the new face for Gucci Jewellery and watches. The first official photo was released on Harper Bazaar’s Instagram, noting that the singer’s beauty and talent that “recall another era” making her the perfect candidate.
For her own personal style Welch commented that she’s “always been interested in femininity that had a darkness; nothing could ever be too pretty.” Now that she has joined with Gucci, she is working with creative director Alessandro Michele where she describes his designs as having “snakes and tigers and bleeding hearts, a Baroque sensibility. It’s like he wants to give people his whole world. It feels really generous; it takes a lot of love.”
Be sure to look out for more beautiful pictures of Florence as Gucci starts to unravel her campaign. The campaign will reflect her personality- intense, unguarded, and uniquely feminine.
