February is a hard time when it comes to beauty. Dry, irritated skin is (unfortunately) the norm for many of us and our hands can be the biggest victims. To fix this we turn to our winter handbag staple; the ever-so-loved hand cream. The Beauty & The Dirt office had a great time comparing our favorites so we thought we would share them with you all…
So let’s give a hand to some of our best hand creams…

Aveeno are a brand known for using natural ingredients and it is fragrance free. I particularly like this quality because it means that it doesn’t interfere with the smell of my perfume. Besides, I don’t know about you but I don’t get on with smelly products that well. Aveeno absorbs tremendously well so you are able to apply and go on about your business without having to wait for it to dry. Get it here.

I got given this hand cream as a Christmas gift years ago – and I have not found one I like more than this one yet. This is a deep treatment without the heaviness or greasiness. The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector is wonderfully thick and absorbs quickly to leave soft, nourished hands that last. Slap this on before bed for a good overnight treatment. The scent is subtle and plant-y (if there ever was a word) and perfect for both him and her. The smallest amount goes really far, so one of these tubes will last you such a long time. Perfect for sensitive skin too, and repairing extra dry hands. They also do a smaller size to pop into your handbag for times at need! You can get this at any The Body Shop store or online here

Pulling a Selena Gomez this winter and can’t keep your hands to yourself? The worst thing when socializing or just going about your daily winter routine is the dry, cracked hands. Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Hand Cream provides heavy duty moisture without leaving a greasy residue. It’s thick texture absorbs straight into the skin with ease and stays on for hours, and it even survives through hand washing. I personally love this hand cream for the fresh smell and almost instant absorbance, all the while not leaving grease on your hand to get all over everything you touch (I’m talking to you iPhone, keyboard, paper, life). For me, there are so many objectives when it comes to hand cream, it’s impossible to just chose one. For night time, I quite enjoy Balance Me Rose Otto Hand Cream. The product has a warm floral scent, and the rich texture is perfect to keep by your bedside as an overnight treatment. Looking to target aging skin and protect from the sun?
