From Model to Muse

July 4, 2013

No one can deny that Kate Moss is on a roll: collaborating on her own phone accessories, posing for every fashion brand under the sun and continuing to be quintessentially the most beautifully rock’n’roll woman in the world. Get your checkbooks out because now the modern muse is set to become the centre-piece of a new exhibition and auction at Christie’s.

The auction, which will take place on 25 September, is selling both historic and unseen photographs and artworks inspired by the style icon.

In addition to limited addition artwork by Mary McCartney, Irving Penn, Mario Sorrenti, Mario Testino, Nick Knight, Ellen Von Unwerth and Sam Taylor-Wood, there will also be specially commissioned artworks for sale, including a sculpture by Nick Knight, a collage by Sir Peter Blake, and a tapestry by Chuck Close.
