Obviously we saw the AW16 Dior show today at Paris Fashion Week, and inevitably became obsessed with the makeup look that emerged from the incredible talents backstage…
Spider lashes and flawless skin against high-shine glossy almost-black lips were adorning the models’ faces and we loved it. There was a sneak peak at the new Rouge Dior Poison Lip Shade – which we suspect is launching later this year – which was used for the show.
So in the meantime if you’re after this sexy lip look, don’t be afraid to mix up some colours to get the perfect shade..
Here’s how I did it…
The two lip products I picked were LA Splash Waterproof Liquid Lipsticks; in two shades Vampire and Venom. I chose these particular lipsticks as they are so god damn great at staying on! Literally quite hard to get off. No bleeding, no budging – which is what you want, as these problems can occur when wearing such a dark, glossy lip – and that’s not fun.
Using my trusty MAC #228 brush made applying the lipsticks so much easier. It is actually an eye makeup brush but it makes a perfect lip brush as the rounded shape on the end is so perfect to shape your lips. To finish I popped a gloss on top once the liquid lipstick was dry and in place, to give it the Dior pop.
