First up, is the newly-launched Primer Oil. This was described to us as “if your favourite essential oil and primer had a baby..” and here we have it. Skincare and primer fused together.
This is a really lightweight oil that leaves just enough radiance and moisture in the skin, with calming camomile for a youthful look. It doesn’t feel like your average oil, it sinks in super fast and can be used alone, under, mixed in or on top of makeup. It is very versatile and gives a gorgeous dewy finish when you apply your make up – if you even need to – after you put this on. This is Smashbox’s first primer dedicated to the delicate skin around the eyes – because your eyes need priming too. We usually wear a lot of our makeup around this area, so we want longer lasting, non-gathering makeup right? Unlike moisturiser, this silky primer texture prevents concealer from slipping off or settling into fine lines.

You hear the word ‘water’ and you just know its going to be dewy, refreshing and lovely – and it was.
