You may have gathered now that all things glowy and strobing your skin is so in right now; and also the fact that we (okay, me in particular) go crazy over anything that makes your skin gleaming here at Beauty and the Dirt. Strobing is continuing to be a massive makeup trend; and rather than heavy contouring to sink in your facial features, we’re all about the lifting and accentuating all of your best bits instead, with a glorious sheen to catch the light.
Since my last Get Your Glow On roundup; a few recent must-haves have flown into our radar that we had to share with you. Go for a healthy radiance or go full-on ‘Hyperstrobe’ with these glistening beauty products below:
Becca
I’ve definitely mentioned Becca’s gorgeous highlighter before; but it deserved a special mention in my official Glow roundup for sure – it is one of my favourites, mainly for the colour and its finish. The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone is the shade I have watched here for you to see – though it comes in 5 different shades to suit all skin tones. This one is a golden, neutral tone that immerses into the skin to reveal a fresh glow, but it just looks so natural and gorgeous. The creme-liquid formula works to look after your skin as well as give it a glow; as it contains antioxidant vitamins A, B D and E for cell repair and to increase collagen renewal. A little bit of a miracle product if you ask me. Dab this onto your skin in certain areas for a finished strobe effect to your makeup or add to your skincare or foundation for all-over radiance.
Pixi
Pixi’s advanced illuminating skin perfector works to nourish & sooth, and give a little boost to your skin’s appearance. This cream is much more than just a highlighter; as it calms, purifies, brightens and illuminates with its subtle gorgeous pearl pink tone. This can be put under your foundation for a from-within glow, mixed into your foundation, or patted on top on key areas to add radiance.
Makeup Revolution
Makeup Revolution have recently launched their strobing range, to give you radiant looking skin. This cream is freshly scented, really lightweight and has a golden tone, perfect for tanned to dark skin tones. It shimmers, without the ‘glittery’ look for a brilliant sheen. Can be used both under and over makeup.
Makeup Revolution have catered for the subtle, all the way to the intense kind of glow. Get some powerful strobing (that’s Hyperstrobing to you and me) with the thick balm-like highlighters in both pink and golden tones to cater for all skin tones. The balm melts onto your fingertips, and all you need to do is lightly pat into key areas on top of your makeup look for an amazing sculpt effect. These balms can cleverly be watered down for a more subtle glow too.
Perricone MD

The shape makes strobing super easy; simply glide onto the tops of your cheekbones, or pop onto your cupid’s bow or under your brows for an illuminated look. The colour was a mix between pinky gold, a lovely tone. Oh also – for THAT price it’s definitely worth a try.
