I am always battling with my hair, it lacks the thickness and volume that I have forever longed for. After finally coming to terms and abandoning my thick long extensions I wore for years – it is a fact that yes, I do have fine straight-ish hair, but I should embrace what I was born with right? So, I am always up for trying new products to help give me the best of what I can get.
I like it when my hair feels weightless and bouncy. I like the idea that it looks like I haven’t tried too hard (ha…and I SO have) so when I heard about the new Bumble and Bumble range called Full Potential – obviously it appealed to me instantly. Full potential is not promising anything unrealistic, to me it simply implies you will get the best for what your hair can be. And what more could you want from that?
Let’s be honest and get ourselves back to reality – it is unrealistic to think I, for example, can suddenly get crazy big lion hair no matter what products I use and what miracles they promise. The only way to get massive locks is with the use of extensions, and the glossy photos of celebrities you see daily (and envy) are actually most likely wearing them too.
Bumble and Bumble have introduced a hair-preserving trio, a Full Potential Hair Preserving Shampoo, Conditioner and Booster Spray to create the look of a healthier and plumper mane. Here’s the technical part. The products are infused with Hair Preserve Blend which is designed to wrap itself around the strands to promote strength and elasticity, and the appearance of fuller hair.
My first thoughts about the range after trying it out for myself was that it really made my hair really weightless, and my hair is weighed down so easily, so big plus. I have been using all three products in my wash regime, and it makes my hair soft, bouncy and feel pretty lovely. Thickening products tend to make your hair feel chalky, rough textured and brittle. But this range doesn’t. It feels like it is still looking after your hair whilst making it fuller.
The scent is very manly – it smells like aftershave which I absolutely don’t mind at all. I quite like it actually. But a great option for men to use, plus the packaging points towards complementing both male and female bathrooms nicely!
To use: Massage Full Potential Shampoo into scalp and hair, lather well and rinse thoroughly. Then, work Full Potential Conditioner into hair. Let sit a minute or two and rinse off. Follow with Full Potential Booster Spray, spraying it all over onto wet or dry hair from roots to ends, twice a day if you can. Comb through.
Full Potential Hair Preserving Shampoo £23, Conditioner £25, & Booster Spray £38 available to buy now online.
Pairs perfectly with….
Kent “Oooh That’s Nice” Brush, £12.50.

Funnily enough Kent predicted accurately what came out of my mouth when I first combed this through my hair. Lots of “ooh’s and aah’s” when I felt this uniquely bendy and double-bristled brush. With no pulling, tugging or snagging – which I need because I definitely can’t afford to lose any more hair..
With its soft and natural bristles that are nicely gapped out and bendy, give great volume when lightly backcombed through the hair – I actually almost did have lion hair this morning!
I love this brush. Try it out! It is brand new to Kent and available to buy from Boots from February.
