When Christmas fever hits, coffee seems to take centre stage. It’s all about festive lattes, Christmas edition takeout cups and new syrup toppings. But what if you’re not a coffee girl? Or seeking to steer clear of the caffeine or calorie counts? It’s time to take a look at what’s new in tea. So here goes.
Teapigs can always be relied upon to offer up something a bit different, and their collection of new blends is just that. Choose from zesty Rhubarb & Ginger, sweet and spicy Apple & Cinnamon, indulgent Mint & Chocolate (yes, that’s a tea!), aromatic and cleansing Fennel & Licquorice, and flavour loaded Sweet Ginger (£3.99).

We’re big fans of Clipper in the Beauty and the Dirt office, and the new Clipper Organic Orange & Coconut Refreshing Infusion (£1.79) is a tea cupboard essential. If you’re not a fan of Christmas spices like cinnamon or ginger, this might be the one for you.

Pukka are known for their tea take on well-being. For a calming time-out, indulge in their new infusions – Wild Apple & Cinnamon with Ginger, Womankind, Detox with Lemon, Chamomile, Vanila & Manuka Honey (£2.39).

The London Tea Company pack a punch when it comes to flavour. If you’re expecting watered down flavour, think again, their Raspberry, Ginger & Vanilla (£3.99) blend will not disappoint.

When it comes to a detox tea, Twinings have it covered. It’s a step away from their traditional blends but the Cucumber Extract, Nettle & Aloe Vera (£2.49) refreshes, revives and calms all with one steaming mug.

You can’t beat Fortnum & Mason for presentation. Their Fortnum & Mason Black Tea with Lemon (£4.25) is a breakfast tea alternative with a bit of a kick.
