Gwyneth Paltrow is seriously hot property this year. It is only a matter of months since the actress was announced as the ambassador for Hugo Boss’ new women’s fragrance, Boss Nuit Pour Femme, and now Gwyn has been named as the new face of beauty giant, Max Factor.
The new signing will see Gwyneth star in a six month beauty campaign for the cosmetics brand, where she will act as the ‘creative inspiration’ for Max Factor’s make up artists, including the global creative design director for Max Factor, Pat McGrath, who curated the campaign. The idea behind the campaign is that Gwyneth will model a number of looks created by the brand’s make up artists to reflect various aspects of her life, from mother, home make and wife, to actress, model and muse.
Of the campaign, McGrath has explained, “I tasked 11 of our national makeup artists to create three glamour statements for Gwyneth,” said McGrath. “These were to be inspired by her life and the different roles she has to play — model, actress, mother, singer.” McGrath then took those ideas and created seven different looks, which will appear in the campaign. Each look will be based around three “hero” Max Factor products.
The upcoming campaign, due to rollout from November, will span television adverts, shot by Tom Munro as well as a print campaign, photographed by Craig McDean.
Esi Eggleston Bracey, vice president of Max Factor, told WWD, “It was magical to see these creative forces coming together…our international network of renowned makeup artists, led by Pat and inspired by Gwyneth. What a combination and what stunning results.…This campaign is a real celebration of Max Factor makeup artistry and we’re hoping it will act as inspiration for other women to find the glamour statements that are right for them.”
