As much fun as festivals are, they’re a nightmare for the environment with partiers leaving behind a wake of waste, plastic bottles, cans and glass. So this season, in a bid to create a more sustainable solution, Coca-Cola has introduced the initiative, trialling it at two Scottish festivals, RockNess and the Royal Highland Show.
Consumers were invited to take part in interactive recycling games and challenges, whilst performers and cheerleading flash mobs entertained the crowds and congratulated festival-goers on their throwing-accuracy! The recycler reactions were caught on camera with photographs (and recycling themed tattoo transfers) then being handed out at the Happiness Bank – a converted shipping container.
If you didn’t happen to catch Coca-Cola’s Happiness Recycled initiative at the festivals, head to their , where they’ll be encouraging customers to be more considerate of their carbon footprint whilst offering recycling-related giveaways and prizes.
