Harrods has had a 20s-makeover and launched a pop-up jazz bar in celebration of the mid-May premiere of The Great Gatsby. The world-famous department store, most recently fitted-out in Dior, will provide visitors with a place to “hark back to the lavish entertaining and unmistakable glamour of the roaring Twenties.”. Indulgent, ultra-luxe and suitably ostentatious, Harrods’ has The Great Gatsby vibe wrapped up.

From 9th to 20th May the underground Tasting Room and Wine Shop will take buyers back to the speak-easy days by transforming the space with a bit of art-deco and fancy front-of-house cocktail mixing. Here, you can order drinks created by specialists from Courvoisier, Hendrick’s, Johnnie Walker and Martini.
On the 10th of May listen to a live jazz band in the evening, taste canapés and whip up your own delish drinks through a masterclass. Oh and don’t forget to don your best flapper attire. . . well, if Harrods are getting into the spirit surely we should too!
Harrods’ Gatsby-Inspired Tasting Room and Wine Shop, will pop up from 9th – 20th May. To book £50 tickets to the evening email wineshop@harrods.com.
