If you’re going to be splish-splashing your way through the wet weekend, we can’t think of a more fashion-forward way of keeping dry than with these wellies courtesy of Matthew Williamson for Havaianas.
Celebrating his 15th anniversary showing at London Fashion Week, Matthew has joined forces with the Brazilian flip flop brand who are coincidentally also celebrating a big birthday this year, to create two limited edition playful printed rubber rain boots, emblazoned with Matthew’s signature tropical prints. The Peacock Rain Boot features pops of fuchsia, sunshine yellow and jade. Whilst the graphic pattern used in the Digital Print rain boot design was developed for Williamson’s Winter 2012 RTW collection.
The designer explained, “In England, it’s always raining and I feel like I’m expert in that field, I wanted to bring some sunshine to the rainier season. I wanted to embrace this sensibility in the rain boots and so chose prints that were whimsical without being kitsch.”
