DRINKmaple – from tree, to bottle, to you. With nothing added in between.
Smoothies have the risk of being deceiving. When you think you’re doing yourself a favour, but in fact sometimes you’re consuming more sugar than you are aware of. The simplest of smoothies need a splash of liquid and some fruit/veg, but many store bought smoothies contain added sugar, which increases your calorie intake, and not so much of the nutrients.
DRINKmaple is the sap that comes straight from organic maple trees in North America. As well as being 100% natural with nothing added and naturally low in calories, this drink tastes good too! With more manganese than a cup of Kale and packed full of 46 nutrients (including vitamins, minerals, polyphenols, antioxidants, electrolytes & prebiotics) what’s not to like about it?!
In terms of making your own smoothies – a good base is essential. This is where DRINKmaple comes in. And we’re taking away adding fruit juice to the mix – as most fruit juice sold in supermarkets are really high in added sugar. DRINKmaple is also great alternative to coconut water, as it contains half the calories. It is gluten free, dairy free, vegan friendly and non GMO – and not to fear, no harm comes to any trees in the making of this drink!
Obviously it is thoroughly enjoyable to drink alone; but here are some lovely smoothie recipes for you to try out with DRINKmaple as an essential addition!
