Helen Steele has designs on your summer, quite literally. The print-designer, known for her totally unique abstract prints and performance art stylings, began as a fledgling artist working out of a converted duck hatchery in Co. Monaghan. Not quite the surroundings you’d expect for the resulting design work which is created using imagery taken over three months with a time lapse camera and documents the “birth of spring” over two time zones.
Refreshingly unique, unusual and the perfect accompaniment to tanned skin, blue skies and golden sands, the abstract electro-coloured botanical prints burst onto silk satin kimonos and square cut Kaftans. Just what your summer wardrobe has been crying out for.
