Picking out a tie has never been so high-tech, thanks to Hermès. The French luxury brand has launched Tie Break, a free smartphone app designed to elevate shopping to neck wear to a new mobile experience. Users can scroll through a selection of Hermès scarf and tie patterns using the app, and even “try on” the pattern by enlarging the design and holding the phone up to their shirt. No need to run to the store if you find a pattern you like – items can be bought directly from the app.
But Tie Break isn’t just for shopping – the app also comes loaded with seven fun “breaks,” featuring animated gifs and old school arcade-style games, as well as neck wear tying tutorials and options to share your purchases with your friends through social media. Hermès has also designed a tie for the spring/summer 2015 collection, also named Tie Break, that can be synced to the app using a bar code on the back of the tie.
Tie Break is currently available for down load for iPhone and Android in English and French language versions, with a Chinese version to be launched soon. Check out a teaser for this fun little app in the video below!
