In celebration of Hermès 175th anniversary, the iconic French brand is hosting a new exhibition in London, entitled Leather Forever. The exhibition traces the luxury label’s most famous and iconic designs – from the 19th Century saddles and harnesses created for European noblemen to the signature high-fashion Birkin bags. Hermès is also showcasing the heart and soul of their brand, the integral artisans, who will be hand crafting Hermès leather goods in front of visitors.
The exhibition, is held in the Royal Academy of Art’s sister space 6 Burlington Gardens, and will also feature four unique bags, commissioned for the occasion which will be auctioned off at a later date with all proceeds donated to the Royal Academy of Arts.
