For the last five years Zcre beach, Croatia has been taken over by a variety of house music’s biggest names. Thousands flock to the usually quiet coastline for an unforgettable music festival on a glorious beach. The festival takes place in 4 main club venues, all situated on the sandy shore. All the venues are open air, they have to be due to the scorching weather and sheer mass of people attending.

As well as the main festival that takes place each evening there are various pool parties across all venues as well as boat parties with some of the best DJ’s around. In short there’s never a dull moment. There is even a terrifying bungee jump for any thrill seekers looking for a rush!
The pool and boat parties run throughout the day and night. The first acts come on at 10am. After the last acts finish, usually around 6pm, there are various after parties running ‘til the early hours of the morning.
The highlights of this year’s festival included explosive sets from Rudimental, Loco Dice, MK, Huxley, Waze and Odyssey and the much-anticipated Disclosure. If you’re thinking of booking in for next year, expect to become partially deaf (in a good way) and to need at least a week to recover afterwards.
Camping is available, however there’s plenty of accommodation options on offer in the nearby town of Novalja if the campsite is too hot and sticky for you to even contemplate. A shuttle is also provided to and from the site, which takes around 15 minutes.
If you are a house music addict or just want a week away with some amazing music and weather then this is the festival for you! Is Croatia the new Ibiza? If this year’s anything to go by it certainly looks that way.
