As for the Brits, Dame Maggie Smith has done it yet again, bagging an award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Downton Abbey. This is her third Emmy for her role as Violet Crawley in Downton Abbey, but she has never actually attended the ceremony in person. So, on Sunday, host Jimmy Kimmel jokes: “We’re not mailing this to her. Maggie, if you want this, it will be in the lost and found.”

Among some of the winners was the Danish director, Susana Bier of BBC spy thriller, starring Tom Hiddleston as The Nigh Manager.
