Leading the way in creating both sustainable and stylish clothes, as part of its Conscious initiative which aims to increase the use of organic cotton and other more sustainable materials, H&M have launched their Exclusive Conscious Collection. The line which goes on sale both instore and online at HM.com today, offers trend-led, red-carpet-worthy fashion at high street prices, all manufactured using organic cotton, hemp and recycled polyester.
Where sustainable fashion has had a bad rap in the past – conjuring up images of sack-shaped styles in itchy, uncomfortable textiles or at extortionate and unaffordable prices, the Exclusive Conscious Collection, proves that the times are a’changing.
The collection which has already been previewed on the red carpet, most notably when Amanda Seyfriend wore the tuxedo blue blazer and matching shorts at a film premiere and Kristin Davis appeared at a Vanity Fair event dressed in the green embroidered number, includes some beautiful, and dramatic pieces.
We are particularly enchanted by the Kaleidoscope photo print dress £49.99 – and matching jacket £24.99 – made from a recycled polyester blend and the cut-to-the-thigh chartreuse maxidress £59.99.
