Galaxy sky nails…quite ideal for a halloween-inspired nail look for the season to try out.
I promise this isn’t as hard to do as it looks! It’s a simple, clever way of making it look like you’ve spent hours on your nails without actually doing so… and all the imperfections make them look prettier. Hurray!

So all you need is nail varnish colours in – Black, Blue, White, Yellow, a fine glitter polish and a topcoat.
The brands I’ve used are: Barry M in Black and Indigo, Essie in Pearly White, La Femme Beauty in Lime Cream, Inglot XL2 & Nail Apothecary Gel Effect Top Coat
Plus you need a dotting tool of any type, a toothpick is fine, I used a pencil tip in an emergency! Also a sponge – a disposable makeup sponge is perfect, rip a piece off so it has a nice textured edge.
Here is the tutorial video I have uploaded for you to watch!
Step-by-step:
1. Start with an all black base & let dry
2. Sponge on 1-2 clusters of white mixed with blue on the nail corners..again, doesn’t have to be precise or neat! I like to make it more blue on the outer edge of the sponge effect and then bring in more white in the middle.
3. Stars! I like to use a fine glitter polish, just dotted over the clusters, so not all over the nail.
4. More stars! Use a fine dotting tool with white polish to put some randomly placed larger stars in your sky.
5. Topcoat. Done…See? Easy.
Hey, even if it doesn’t look like a sky or galaxy of any kind….you have a nice sponged on effect and your nails will look pretty cool.
Happy Nail Painting!
