Nail Artist Marian Newman created some enticing ‘precision military nails’ for Mugler‘s SS16 Ready-to-wear collection for Paris Fashion Week.
The Mugler show reflected a strong and powerful women, with a militant structure dazzling creative director David Koma’s SS16 collection. The finely detailed garments created a look that was elegantly chic and daring.
This militant mood in particular shone through on models’ nails too, thanks to nail-hero Marian Newman, who created a perfect nail look complementing the collection perfectly.
This simple technique was used to create this edgy design; using Kure Bazaar’s new dark Navy shade (which is due to launch in March 2016) and a contrast with a fine white detailing to the outside of each nail.
How to create Mugler SS16 military nails:
1. Clean the nail bed, ensure any ridges are filled in or buffed away. Apply base coat.
2. Le Blanc was applied first from one side of each nail, halfway across the cuticle and up to the tips. Allow to dry.
3. Navy was applied over the nail, but with leaving a structural white detailing to the side of each nail. Two coats provided a highly pigmented and vibrant look.
3. Overcoat Dry Finish was applied to seal in the colour and for a super glossy effect.
