Cosy winter fashion tips
Just because it’s dark and gloomy outside doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to be. Winter is a time for to layer up, but you still want to look good while you keep yourself warm. Whether it’s finding that perfect scarf to compliment an outfit, or finding just the right dress for your next Christmas party, winter fashion is my favourite to dress up with. So what do you want to add to your wardrobe this year?
Winter Coat
Let’s start with the staple piece to any winter look: the coat. Glamour collected twenty of their favourite coats for this year. These range from warm puffers to the classic trench coat and colour is big with coats this season. A winter coat should be seen as an investment, don’t be afraid to spend that little bit extra on it. It’s not a coat for just this year, but potentially lots of winters to come. Our advice would be keep it simple, one that you can easily accessorise with.
Layer Up
Winter offers the perfect opportunity for you to accessorize your outfits. We’re talking hats, scarves, gloves, and boots. They’re practical, but also can add a splash of colour to your look. A chunky knit is versatile to wear with everything, with jeans and cords as well as making that summer dress last all year with opaque tights and boots. Look for some biker boots to wear with dresses and jeans, you will live in them all winter and be able to shop in them, very important for December!
Christmas Party Dress
The annual Christmas party, always an excuse for a new outfit, and this year there are so many sparkles in the shops you’ll have so much choice. Damart offer a fantastic range of dresses, and you’re bound to find one that makes you look and feel great. Why not this year try for something more exciting than a black dress, opt for some sequins and colour, it’s Christmas and the best excuse to dress up.
Flannel Shirt
This is a timeless piece and for good reason. It’s cosy, comfortable and can act as layer for a variety of outfits or it can be worn by itself. The classic look is a flannel shirt and jeans, but you could also wear it open and over a dress. Flannel shirts come in such a variety of colours, spreading across the entire cool to warm spectrum and suit most people.
