Pixar has done it again with their movie; Inside Out, the film about feelings.

Inside out is out in UK cinemas today; so don’t miss out on this one. Here’s a little synopsis of the film if you haven’t already seen or heard about the movie. Krista saw it and has insisted we HAVE to see it, as it’s such a lovely film and the characters are all adorable in their own way, even fear and anger!
Growing up can be a tough one, we all know what that’s like. And it’s no exception for Riley who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us hitting those crucial teenage years; Riley is led by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control centre inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life – and we get to meet them.
As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to her new life in San Francisco, turmoil arises in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to cope through all the new changes; a new city, house and school.

Amy Poehler is the voice of Joy, Riley’s main emotion, and an important role in the movie. Joy is the ‘energetic engine’ of the emotions. She opens the film; introducing the viewers in, getting you into the story – inside the mind of the 11-year old girl. Having been used to being in charge of the other emotions for 11 years, Joy’s position is suddenly thrown, and here come sadness, fear, and anger now want a turn at the wheel.
The message of the film focuses on the fact that, no one can be happy all the time, and that is okay. In fact, these other emotions may play an important role to get you where you need to be. We think it’s a real positive one for children and parents, for sure.
Krista attended the press conference for Inside Out, where Amy Poehler, Pete Docter (Writer & Director) & Jonas Rivera (Producer) all gathered to talk about the process of making of the film, inspiration and what makes it so special. Amy shows she is just as charming and quick-witted in life as she is in her acting role..
