Described as “a rare bird who has always been ahead of her time,” it seems Iris Apfel has taken inspiration from this description for her future projects, as the HSN collection is aptly named the Rara Avis collection, which in Latin means “rare bird”. The collection is a true portrayal of Iris, representing her attitude, vibrant color, and air of comfort.
The Rara Avis collection consists of five bright and comfy shoe styles, ranging in price from £35 to £65. The blue and red suede Mary Jane’s are adorable take on a classic and in our opinion very Zooey Deschanel. The bird-of-paradise and kiss sequined loafers we can see on any number of celebs and would certainly look smart paired with skinny jeans or a colorful skirt, while the remaining two pairs can be dressed up or down in any number of ways.
